So touching." Asked if they feel touched enough to return to TVB? The couple said: "We signed two years with them (NOW), we'll see what happens when the time comes! (Take TVB's artists with you?) No. If there wasn't TVB, then there won't be us. It's just we're grown now and ready to work outside. (Regret leaving?) No, there should be new attempts in life."

As for Norman Leung, he praised that the two are outstanding producers as their series have set high rating records: "If the environment out there isn't good, TVB's gates are always opened ready for their return. (Worried they might pull artists with them?) It's guaranteed they won't." Norman stressed TVB will put in great effort to train new blood.

Also Linda Chung appeared in shorts, showing off her long legs. She expressed she's thankful of both Ka Ho Gor and Siu Ching Jeh or tailoring several classic roles for her, such as 'Seung Joi Sum' (Heart of Greed) and 'Miss Koo' (Yes Sir, Sorry Sir). She said: "Back then, I became a Goddess to the 'House Boys' from Siu Ching Jeh's Forensic Heroes. I wholeheartedly send my blessings to them. (If they want to take you over with them, what would you do?) I still have a long contract with TVB, let my manager handle it!" As for Michelle Yim, she praised there are a lot of new talents in TVB. In her new series, The Great Eunuch, there will not be situations where the script is written on the spot due to the tide of leaving TVB.

Linda was dressed carefully for the occasion, and expressed she rarely steps into Ball settings. When asked if she'll take the opportunity to find a boyfriend here? Linda said: "Didn't think about that. I am already happy enough to be here tonight. (Find a rich partner in these Ball settings?) Nope. No Fear of Kevin Cheng, Raymond Lam to hold 4th HK Coliseum concert

On Monday (2/27th), EEG held their Spring Banquet, where the company formally announced that three award winner TV King Kevin Cheng has joined them. EEG CEO Ng Yue expressed on stage that EEG will help Kevin produce a song that will become a popular classic, open a HK Coliseum for him and cast him in movies. He also made arrangements for him to take Raymond Lam's seat after he left. It looks like Kevin is already favored by EEG and plus he's also TVB executive Virgina Lok's favorite, so Prince Raymond is facing a threat. Kevin immediately said: "No one can replace Ah Fung's (Raymond) place. Its best that we each have our own successes, you do well, I do well, then everyone is happy."

2009: Let's Get Wet Concert

2010: Come 2 Me Concert

2011: Light Up My Live Concert

Recently, Raymond has been busy shooting for TVB series Dangerous Drug Raid, he expressed: "Kevin and I have collaborated several times, such as TV series Yummy Yummy and we launched an album together All About Men. We have a very good relationship. Now that we are in the same company, it is actually more like a doubly relationship. I believe there will only be a healthy competition and also its only the public comparing us, Kevin and I never compare. We have a different style, I may actually do more fast songs. Kevin and I are both students of Dai Si Chung, we are considered 'See Hing/Dai' (apprentice brothers). I'm looking forward to exchanging knowledge in music." However, after all a 'mountain cannot hold two tigers', Raymond said impatiently: "Whether if its TVB or EEG, how can there just be two tigers? We are a big family!"

It's reasonable that Raymond is confident because even though he did have a lot of criticisms, but he still held 3 HK Coliseum concerts in 3 consecutive years. According to reliable sources, Raymond was to hold his fourth concert in December this year and set a record for having 4 concerts in 4 consecutive years. However, because of his tight schedule, the current plans have been pushed back for a month, to January 2013.

Raymond admitted he will indeed hold another HK Coliseum concert, a very high possibility for January of next year: "I have never thought of breaking records or ever asked for 1 concert per year. Singers can't decide these things because our company is a for-profit business, therefore they won't be doing business that makes no profits. As long as there are people buying tickets, then it will continue, so I am very happy fans have given me the support all along, but I do have fears and anxiety as well. I have demands on myself that I should have something new for fans and audience to see, but time is really rushed. Currently, I am shooting series and recording for my Cantonese album at the same time. In March, I will be going to Australia to do a concert and then I have two more films and a Mainland series to shoot. Then I'll start preparing for my concert next year."

Old Injuries Back to Haunt Him

However, lately Raymond has clearly gained some weight, turns out its because he's been troubled by old injuries: "I have some problems with my sciatic nerve, so there has been pain when I sit. Earlier there was a period of time where I just couldn't do my regular exercises and go to the gym. I have indeed gained some weight. I've been doing a lot of physical therapy, and have to get back to my exercises soon, otherwise I can't even fit into my concert costumes for the Australia concert this month."

Kate Tsui fake smokes in the new series

As for Raymond's co-star in Dangerous Drug Raid, Kate Tsui, she will have to smoke in the series. However, she doesn't know how to smoke, so they had to fake the scene by using a fake hand and the staff helped her light the cigarette: "This time I have be a 'boxer' in the bar, so my costume looks like this, but it's quite ok, not too sexy. The director didn't require me to actually go smoke for real, just told me to hold the cigarette." In the series, Kate will have a relationship with Raymond, Kate laughed: "I have collaborated with Raymond, Bosco Wong and Ron Ng a lot, I hope to collaborate with other actors too. TV King Kevin Cheng, I really haven't collaborated before, so I anticipate the chance to work with him."

Raymond Lam warms up the seat and leaves, Kevin Cheng takes the second-hand seat

Raymond Lam, Ella Koon, Michael Miu and Ben Wong were shooting a police chase scene yesterday for TVB new series Dangerous Drug Raid. Raymond, who suffered from an injury on his sciatic nerve, expressed he has to go in for physical therapy one to two times a week. He said without hiding that there is pain when he walks and sits. As for Ella, a few days ago she sprained her ankle during filming, but yesterday she heroically continued to do the chase scene anyway. However, when the cameras stopped, she was limping and often rubbed her feet.

When speaking of EEG CEO Ng Yue's comment earlier at the EEG Spring Banquet teasing Kevin Cheng can take Raymond's seat? Raymond laughed: "I heated up the seat for him! Pretty good. (Compete for the Male Singer award with you?) I never cared about these things, most important is that we can reach our goals with the music crew. After completing this series, I will have two more films to shoot in the next half year and will participate in a Mainland series." Reporters teased and asked if he's had enough of the seat and is willing to give it to Kevin? He laughed: "I'm always on the run. (Tell Kevin to go back and be his TV King?) He's my role model, I hope to join the TV King club too."

Ella revealed she knew Raymond before this series, but they only got familiar when shooting this series. Reporters mentioned they have a common friend, Ron Ng. Ella said: "Common friends in TVB, turns out he can go down the comedic route! (He's provoking you?) We mutually provoke one another to chat."

Also, Michael praised that this series invested a lot of car chasing and gun shooting scenes. He said yesterday he ran up and down all day long, but he expressed he is able to handle the scenes himself as long as he does his warm ups. When speaking of good friend Felix Wong switching over to Ricky Wong's team, asked when he's going to do the same? Michael said: "I'm still have a contract with TVB for some time, will shoot 1 series per year. I spoke to Mr. Wong before, but didn't get to the price yet. (Felix feels unhappy at TVB?) No, he just wants to switch to a new environment. Also, the salary there is higher than TVB."

Raymond Lam jokes Kevin Cheng went from his senior to his junior

Last night, EEG held their 70 table Spring Banquet 2012, a star-studded event. The boss Albert Yeung, Jackie Chan and all of their artists attended including Joey Yung, Nicholas Tse, Twins, Raymond Lam, Leo Ku, Wong Cho Lam, Yumiko Cheng, Mag Lam and William Chan. The guests included Stephen Chan, Alan Tam, Jennifer Tse and her boyfriend Andy On. At the banquet, EEG formally announced Kevin Cheng and Adason Lo has joined the company. Earlier it was rumored that Raymond Lam was afraid he'll lose favor and so secretly tried to stop Kevin from joining EEG by going to talk to executive Virgina Lok. Last night, Raymond was only at the banquet for 10 minutes because he expressed he had to rush back to continue shooting for his new series. He expressed he knew Kevin joined EEG and will be his junior: "After all we can finally be true 'See Hing and See Dai'. Back then, we were both students of Dai Si Chung, at the time I was his junior!" Based on Raymond's comment, it looks like he's implying that Kevin is under him. Raymond expressed when he and Kevin were shooting Yummy Yummy, they already knew each other well and denied the rumors that they are on bad terms. He feels that EEG singers are all like a big family, he absolutely did not try to stop Kevin from signing with EEG.

Joey Yung tells Raymond/Kevin to slowly compete

Kevin officially signs with EEG, the group of artists all welcomed him. Joey expressed the atmosphere in EEG is getting more and more lively. When asked if she supports Kevin or Raymond? She laughed: "Its flesh on the palm and on the left hand. I collaborated with Raymond in a film and also collaborated with Kevin in a TV series. Kevin is a new member of EEG, so he should get some support and encouragement. (One mountain can't hold two tigers?) They can slowly compete, there will only be improvements when there is competition. The two of them have their own qualities!" Twins frankly said Kevin is their senior because he entered the industry before them. Charlene Choi (Ah Sa) exposed she purchased his album before and immediately hummed Kevin's old classic Mood of Falling Out of Love O-A-O (失戀心情O-A-O). Ah Sa hopes they will have opportunities to collaborate in the future. William Chan exposed he successfully purchased 16 tickets to Lady Gaga's concert and 10 of the tickets will be given to his family and girlfriend Ah Sa. As for the remaining ones, he'll pass them on to friends.

Kevin Cheng joins EEG: To launch new album & enter film scene

Three award winner TV King Kevin Cheng won both fame and fortunes after his role in TVB series Ghetto Justice. Kevin debuted as a singer, and today he charges right back into the music scene. Today, it was announced that Kevin will be joining EEG and tonight, a contract signing ceremony will be held.

Kevin entered the industry as a singer in 1993, when he signed with PolyGram. He charged into the music scene with his 'baseball boy' image, but unfortunately his development was only mediocre. Later, he and his manager Dai Si Chung were in a disagreement, and he gave up on the Hong Kong market. He switched over to Taiwan and developed from there. In 2002, he came back to Hong Kong and signed a TVB management contract. In 2006, Kevin was crowned TV King, the 'Best Actor Award' at the TVB Anniversary Award based on his role in Under the Canopy of Love. However, the actual peak of Kevin's career lied in his role LAW BA in last year's Ghetto Justice, which was highly rated and acclaimed. Not only that, he became a three award winner TV King, scooping up the 'Best Actor Award', 'My Favorite TV Male Character Award' and the 'tvb.com Weibo Most Popular Artist Award'. Also, the popular broadcast of TV drama Starling Step by Step in Mainland turned Kevin into a best seller in both China and Hong Kong. He was paid nearly $250,000 per episode!

Bid Farewell to Music Scene 6 years ago

Since Kevin's release of the Mandarin album No Way Out (無可奈何) in 2006 (and New+Best Collection album compilation), it has been 6 years since he bid farewell to the music scene. Late last year, there were many record companies interested in this three award winner TV king. Earlier, the media photographed Kevin having dinner with TVB executive Virgina Lok and EEG CEO Ng Yue and at the same time it was rumored that good friend Myolie Wu recommended Kevin to join her record label, Neway Star. After 3 months of consideration, Kevin decided to join the 'bigger dock' EEG. EEG will be hosting a spring dinner tonight and from there it will be announced that Kevin is joining them. A contract signing ceremony will also be held, and EEG artists Nicholas Tse, Joey Yung and Twins will be at the scene to witness it all. It was understood that this year, aside from launching a new comeback album, EEG also plans to hold a concert for him and make arrangements for him to advance into the film scene as well.

Raymond Lam lends a helping hand

EEG initially already had Raymond Lam and Leo Ku as their first line male singers, now that Kevin has joined them, it would be hard to avoid the 'Fight for the First Brother Spot' rumors. Earlier it was also rumored Raymond tried to prevent Kevin from signing with EEG, but at the time Raymond denied: "If Kevin really is interested in joining a record company, I will strongly recommend him because we were both students of Dai Si Chung. We are considered 'apprentice brothers' (See Hing/Dai)!" In reality, Raymond has given Kevin a lot of suggestions. As for Kevin and Leo, they collaborated in the film Super Fans (甜心粉絲王) and their relationship had been pretty good all along. In addition, the three of them have different singing styles, so they can take in different fans.

EEG a Kingdom of Pop King and Queens

EEG founded by Albert Yeung is a company comprise of a group of talents, most of their artists are all Film/Pop King and Queen levels including Nicholas Tse, Joey Yung, Leo Ku, Twins, Raymond Lam, William Chan, Yumiko Cheng, Vincy Chan, Sherman Chung, Kenny Kwan, Steven Cheung, Deep Ng, Mag Lam and many more. Aside from possessing the Hong Kong First Brother/Sister, recently EEG has invited Mainland Film King Ge You for a sky high price to collaborate with them. They invested 50 million RMB to 'reserve' Ge You and plans to shoot 3 films within 5 years. Ge You frankly said he's very satisfied with the amount EEG's paying him to join them, but the most important is to do well on those 3 films. His goal is to get that 50 million back.

Ella Koon encounters a criminal in series, but a real police officer comes to her rescue

Recently Ella Koon has been busy shooting for TVB new series Dangerous Drug Raid with Raymond Lam, Kate Tsui and Michael Miu. Yesterday she attended an online charity auction event and exposed a few days ago she was shooting a police chase scene at To Kwa Wan Market. Ella plays an anti-drug police officer and perhaps it was because the scene was too realistic, but an actual off-duty police officer, who witnessed the scene, misunderstood that Ella actually encountered a 'criminal'. He righteously went to chase after the 'criminal' for her. Ella said: "A man helped me chase after the Pork Man (the 'criminal' in the series), the man grabbed him and even gave him a little punch. Then he fiercely asked the actor what he was doing. It really felt like a hero saving the beauty. (Then did the actor that got punched have any injuries?) No, the Officer didn't hit him that hard. He just grabbed him really tightly."

Ella believed that Officer was off-duty because she saw him purchasing roasted foods, but when the officer learned she was only shooting a scene for a new series, he quickly got in the car and vanished. That Officer was quite fierce? Ella defended him, she said the camera man and the staff were pretty far from her and she was under cover, so won't be that easy for passer-byers to notice. She also felt the Officer was very righteous and he is the pride of Hong Kong. "There was a little girl in Mainland that got rolled over by a car and no one cared, but in HK we have such righteous people. (Did you want to praise him?) He left so fast, I didn't even get a clear look of his face. Initially I wanted to tell him the people of Hong Kong relies on him."

When asked if shooting TVB series is too difficult that she lost weight? Instead, Ella said she deliberately gained weight since the director said she was too thin and doesn't appear cute enough on-screen. So, she ate a few bags of potato chips and other snacks without any restraint. Also, to portray her anti-drug police officer role, she especially dyed her reddish-brownish hair back to black. She claimed: "I recently have been looking quite pure."

Raymond Lam Suffers Extreme Back Pain, Unable to Rise From Bed

The 2011 IFPI Hong Kong Album Sales Awards was held last night. Raymond Lam (林峯) won three awards and Joey Yung (容祖兒) won six awards, becoming the big winners of the night. Suffering from sciatica (pain or numbness produced by an irritation of the nerve roots leading to the sciatic nerve), Raymond bit back his pain to attend the IFPI music awards. While singing two slow songs, Raymond often adjusted his back.

Due to the pain he was experiencing, Raymond was also absent from yesterday’s filming of TVB drama, Fight Crime "雷霆扫毒". Raymond stated, “My back pain is due to excessive wear and tear of the spine during work. The doctor noted that the affected area is difficult to cure. During the Lunar New Year holiday, the pain was so excruciating I was unable to get up from bed, requiring my younger brother to support my arm. Now, I can only minimize attendance in promotional activities, take pain killers, and use acupuncture to help relieve the pain.”

Asked whether his present condition will affect his fertility, Raymond said, “I do not know, however, it was very difficult when recording a song earlier. I could not sit or stand for long periods. This affected the filming of Fight Crime and my dancing; I can no longer be chok. Fortunately, there are not too many action sequences in Fight Crime.”

“In March, I will be performing a concert in Australia concert. I will need to get an epidural steroid injection to control the pain.” Although Raymond’s parents were deeply worried about him, they did not force him to retire from the entertainment industry.

Grasshopper 'back' attacks Henry Tang: "We have a backbone"

The IFPI Hong Kong Top Sales Music Awards 2011 was held yesterday. Many singers including Joey Yung, Raymond Lam, Twins, Grasshopper, Liza Wang and Adam Cheng all attended. Pop queen Joey Yung swept 6 awards and was once again the big winner of the night. As for Raymond, he took home 3 awards and became the King of Awards. That night although it was an awards presentation, but everyone gathered together to talk about the HK Chief Executive Election 2012 candidate Henry Tang instead.

Recently consistent reports have circulated around the HK press that Henry Tang built a large basement illegally in his residence in York Road, Kowloon Tong. A few days ago, Henry admitted at a press conference that he was aware of the construction of the illegal basement and said it was his wife's idea (courtesy of wiki). His comment immediately led to an uproar in HK as many of his supporters thought he was blaming his wife for his wrongdoing. Last night, Grasshopper took the lead on stage in the criticisms: "We, singers really do have shoulders and backbones!" Clearly, their comment was intentional against Henry and this was supported by everyone in the audience as loud applause and cheers were heard.

During the interview, Grasshopper was asked if they have something to say regarding this issue? Calvin Choi claimed he's a '100% HK Boy', he expressed: "No, we just believe singers have to have persistence for music. (An overtone?) I am just talking about music. Whatever you all heard is what you heard." He also said he will put in his greatest effort into the music scene and "will do his best".

Big winner Joey Yung was also asked about Henry Tang's issue. She said: "Considered a topic of discussion. If he wants to be a leader, then must be fair and have people accept you. (You have a backbone too?) Seeing so many complaints over the the last several days, he has room for improvement. His wife is very generous." When speaking of the constant photo spoofs by Netizens on the internet, Joey was asked if she has seen any of them? She laughed: "Yes. (Which one do you like best?) The big bumblebee one! This triggered everyone's creativity. Hong Kong's capability for creations is very high, impressive!"

As for the male singer big winner, Raymond Lam, he expressed: "I thought there's only a lot of gossips over the music and film awards, but it turns out politics can have a lot of gossips too. As a reader myself, I just read it and move on." When speaking of the Netizens' photo spoofs? He said: "I haven't seen them. I just know the house is beautiful, I want one too." Raymond is suffering from sciatica nerve pain, he expressed he does feel strain when recording. Asked if this would affect his fertility? He said: "I don't know, but it will affect my larger movements."

Also, Liza Wang offered her opinion in regards to the Henry Tang case: "Well that isn't too good. Coming forward to explain is a good thing, so citizens will have an understanding." Yesterday over a phone interview, she said: "A fact is a fact. The man of the family should come out and be responsible. Men coming forward is better, Mrs. Tang is very brave, worthy of the respect." Liza also sighed Henry handled the crisis too slowly.

Twins have also been aware of the news, Ah Sa said: "I just feel being genuine and honest is very important. He should really provide a good explanation to the people of HK. It's not about the man of the family anymore. (If he's elected will you be worried?) Always think on the bright side and positively."
